Three checks for buying with confidence
Grading labels are useful, but the individual certificate and the photographs should still be reviewed together.
Match the certificate
Open the grader’s certificate record and compare the card name, set, number and assigned grade.
Inspect both photographs
Review the front and reverse images of the exact slab, including the label and holder shown in the gallery.
Confirm live availability
Unique certificate listings are normally stocked as one unit. The product page shows the current basket status.
Open the grader’s public record
Enter a certificate from a listing at The Slab Arena or a slab you already own. The lookup opens on the selected grader’s website in a new tab.
A matching certificate record alone does not authenticate the physical slab. Compare the record with the label and photographs.
What the headline grades mean
PSA and ACE assign grades using their own standards. PSA 10 and ACE 10 are each described as Gem Mint by that company. Read the assigned grade on the label and check it against the grader’s record. The Slab Arena does not regrade encapsulated cards. A PSA grade is not an ACE grade, and the same number does not mean the companies use the same standard.

Gem Mint
PSA’s top numeric grade. Review the current PSA grading standards for the full definition and tolerances.
Mint
A high-grade card with a small flaw or allowance that keeps it below the Gem Mint level.
Near Mint-Mint
A strong example with more visible allowance than a 9. Exact characteristics vary from card to card.
Gem Mint
ACE’s top numeric grade. Compare the holder with ACE’s certificate record rather than a copied definition.
