What is OP-17?
OP-17 is an English main booster titled The World’s Strongest Warriors. Bandai’s official product presentation focuses on the Straw Hat Crew arriving in Elbaph, the fearsome “D.” joining the battle and the Four Emperors assembling. It also marks the One Piece Card Game’s fourth anniversary.
It is a standard English booster product, not a starter deck and not an Extra Booster. If you play or collect sealed One Piece, this is the current main-set drop — the same role OP-01 through OP-16 filled in earlier waves.
When does OP-17 release in the UK?
English product uses Bandai’s NA/EU calendar:
- Prerelease: 21 August 2026 (now past).
- English release: Friday 28 August 2026.
- 4th Anniversary shop events: 21 August – 13 September 2026, per the official event page.
This guide covers the English NA/EU product. Other-language editions can use different pack sizes, release dates and product codes, so compare like for like when checking box prices.
Street date is not stock. Release dates do not guarantee The Slab Arena inventory. Allocation, courier timing and sell-through all move independently of Bandai’s calendar. Check the product page before you order.
What is in an English OP-17 box?
The Slab Arena’s English listing matches this English 24×12 display:
- 24 booster packs
- 12 cards per pack
- 288 cards per sealed display
- English edition
Bandai lists the card pool as 131+4 types, with rarities including Special Cards, Treasure Rare, Leader, Secret Rare, Super Rare, Rare, Uncommon, Common and DON!! cards. For the current UK box price and availability, use the live The Slab Arena product page.
We are not publishing pull rates or secondary-market values here. Those move in the first week of a 4th-anniversary set and are not something a UK retailer should quote as fact.
Why collectors are watching this one
Three reasons, all from official material rather than rumour:
- Fourth-anniversary release. Bandai is supporting OP-17 with a dedicated anniversary event and promotional prizes.
- Current story focus. The official product presentation highlights Elbaph, the “D.” name and the Four Emperors.
- English 12-card packs. The Slab Arena display contains 24 English-language packs with 12 cards in each pack.
If your goal is a playable deck, wait for the first weekend of tournament results rather than opening a box the morning of release. If your goal is a sealed English display, buy the SKU you can verify: BCL2863367, barcode 810199501963.
What should UK collectors buy?
Decide the job before the product:
- Sealed display — one English OP-17 booster box. Simplest if you want the set in the cupboard, not a binder.
- Play — singles after the first events, unless you specifically want to draft or crack packs. A box is a poor way to assemble one leader deck.
- Another-language edition — only if you specifically want that release. Confirm its language, pack size and product code before comparing it with the English 24×12 display.
For UK pricing, use a UK retailer’s live listing rather than converting an overseas screenshot or a single-pack MSRP.
Prefer a smaller opening?
The One Piece Card Game Double Pack Set DP-12 contains two booster packs, an exclusive DON!! card and a reusable storage case. It is a lower-commitment alternative to a full OP-17 display.
